Easy Cat Ear Beanie Tutorial - Beginner Friendly Crochet Tutorial
If you have been following me on TikTok, you may have seen that I am learning how to crochet. I have tried to make a beanie twice so far but I have not been successful, until now! I am sharing the tutorials that helped me successfully make this Easy Cat Ear Beanie.
Supplies that I used:
Size N / 9mm crochet hook
Make the Beanie:
To make the beanie, all you need to know is how to do a single crochet! That's it. You will make a chain that is about 15 inches long, then, alternate single crochets in the front and back loop to make a big rectangle. Check out the video below and crochet along to make the easiest beanie you will ever make!
Make the Cat Ears:
I then used part of the cat ear headband tutorial by Jenny & Teddy:
(I edited the tutorial a little bit, because I do not know how to make a magic ring yet)
You will work from top to bottom
Round 1. Ch 4 then join the last stitch with the first to make a ring by using a slip stitch. Sc 4 in ring (4)
Round 2. 2 sc in each st around (8)
Round 3. Sc in each st around (8)
Round 4. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (12)
Round 5. 2 sc in each st around (24)
Round 6. Sc in each st around (24)
Round 7-11. Sc in each st around (24) (You may not need so many rounds if you are using a N size hook like I am).
Finished off and leave long tail for attach the ear with the headband.
Attach the ears to the beanie using your yarn needle and you've got yourself a cat ear beanie! You made it yourself!
