Lightening Bolt Earrings Tutorial

While watching Novympia on Youtube this past week, I fell in love with the earrings that Nova was wearing. So, I decided to try to make my own, using materials that I already have.

Materials I used:

• Thin plastic sheet

• Acrylic paint

• UV Resin

• Jewelry findings and eye pins to make the earrings.

First, I cut out the lightening bolt shapes and circle shapes from some thin plastic that I had leftover from cardmaking. You can also use Shrinky Dinks if you have it or any clear plastic that you have on hand.

Paint the plastic bits any color that you'd like. I personally painted 2 coats of purple acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry, I coated each side with UV resin and cured them. If you don't have resin, you can use multiple layers of Mod Podge or Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.

I then used UV resin to attach the eye pins to the shapes. You can also use glue, like E6000.

Attach the jewelry and earring backs and you got yourself some lightening bolt earrings!
